A new gas kiln at New Prospect Pottery

New Gallery Open just north of New Paltz.

The Butterfield Pottery and New Prospect Pottery have opened a gallery exhibiting functional hand made wood fired pottery. Much is salt glazed, a classical approach to glazing stoneware and porcelain. Some pots are fired in a Japanese style 2 chamber kiln that results in a totally different "look".

Come by:
We are open on the weekends.
Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M.

We also show guest potters on a revolving basis
Deborah Rosenbloom is showing until May.

Holiday Shows

The show at Quimby and Smith was a big success.

Work will be at the store for their "Homemade for the Holidays" show.

Pottery is available at Garrison Arts Center, as well. Work will be there until next Monday.

New Prospect Pottery is also represented by Maglyn's Dream in New Paltz.
